It has relationship with the Cat. It was danced in all the provincies and it could be found in Catamarca, Salta, Tucuman, Santiago del Estero, south of Jujuy, La Rioja and part of Cordoba.

Classification:

It is a cheerful and quick dance of courtship, of loose and independent couple, with lively movement. It simulates the game of loving courtship as in all congeneric dances.

Choreography:

Initial Position: straight, faced, the gentleman gives his left to the audience.

First:

  1. Advance and backward motion: with finger snaps. They can perform it in straight line or stretched rhombus.
  2. Turn: with finger snaps.
  3. Whole Turn: with finger snaps.
  4. Tap- dancing and strut: the lady perform two circular struts.
  5. Turn: with finger snaps.
  6. Whole Turn: with finger snaps.
  7. Tap- dancing and strut: the lady makes a circular strut reaching the gentleman who performs a tap-dance different to the previous one.
  8. Turn: with finger snaps.
  9. Half Turn: with finger snaps.
  10. Tap-dancing and strut: the lady performs a strut of 4 steps and the gentleman tries to shows himself with different movements.
  11. Final Turn: with fingeer snaps and coronation.

Second: the same as the first but it begin in the opposite places.
